About Me


Hey! My name is Laura and I'm a member of the food obsessed club (aren't we all!). Loud-Mouthed and Hungry is my outlet to share food adventures and shenanigans straight from the Big Apple. 

A little about me...I just graduated from a Southern liberal arts college with a degree in biology. I was born and raised in Columbus, OH in a house where having fun in the kitchen was the norm and parties were thrown for every holiday. This is where my love of food began.

In high school, I decided to focus more on my passion for food and began baking and teaching others about baking. While interning at Cheryl & Co. Cookies my sophomore year, I realized I could actually make a career out of my passion for food.

I headed to NYC to intern with The Lee Bros. as an editorial assistant to Ted Lee. I must say, that experience was where I was bit by the culinary bug! Since the internship with The Lee Bros., I have worked in test kitchens and in food editorial work at The Columbus Dispatch, Crave Magazine in Columbus, OH, and Good Housekeeping Magazine. 

I was ready for a new adventure and to pursue my passion, so I decided to graduate college early, move to New York and enroll the French Culinary Institute (some may think I'm crazy...). Loud-Mouthed and Hungry is my outlet to share stories of my never-ending hunger in the city I love. 


Side note: Currently, I am taking a little break from the city to train as a food stylist back in the South. Stay tuned for new recipes and Southern adventure.
